Bio

Ron Galloway directed the noted documentary film "Why Wal-Mart Works & Why That Makes Some People Crazy," an free market look at Wal-Mart which premiered inside the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, DC. 

He is a frequent public speaker whose presentations include a variety of business topics, notably regarding Wal-Mart and innovations in business technology. His past speaking clients can be found here.

Ron is a graduate of Georgia Tech and was an investment analyst for nearly 20 years.

Ron has been featured on CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, ABC’s World News Tonight and The Daily Show. He has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, New Yorker magazine, and China Daily. 

RETHINKING POWERPOINT 2 DVD SET

The DVD includes 4 different versions (cuts) of the film, 1) the main film, 2) a cut for public speakers, 3) a cut for slide designers, 4) a 45 minute "classroom cut" for educators. The DVD totals 4 hours of content. Educational institutions will be granted Public Performance Rights for free.

Rethinking PowerPoint is a film which, through interviews with experts in design and cognative science, explores how to best construct an effective message and present it with visual media (PowerPoint, Keynote etc). The DVD may be pre-ordered here.

2/24/10  Ron has pushed back the release of Rethinking PowerPoint to March 2. Orders will begin shipping March 9. 

2/6/10  Rethinking PowerPoint premiered at the State Theatre at Penn State University. Thanks to all who attended.

1/31/10  Ron conducted interviews for the film last week with Stephen Kosslyn of Harvard, Peter Norvig of Google, and Nancy Duarte of Duarte Design, who designed Al Gore's slides in An Inconvenient Truth.

Ron is in production on several films. One is Rebooting Healthcare, about technological solutions which can "re-form" the U.S. healthcare system, such as EMR data mining, telemedicine, and distributed medicine. 

Ron's documentary on Goldman Sachs has broadened its scope to include AIG, FNMA, the ratings agencies, and the socialism of financial risk. He interviewed Noam Chomsky for the film September 15th.
